Episode 21 - Finding purpose by experiencing life less privileged than your own...
On this episode of the podcast, I sit down with Riley Fuller, President and Founder of a nonprofit that is close to my heart, Humanity and Hope United Foundation. You may have heard me talk about it once or twice in some past episodes!
Humanity and Hope is a nonprofit organization that works to partner with and assist underserved communities in remote parts of Honduras. They partner with the people of each village to achieve sustainable change and they focus on the needs of each specific individual rather than implementing a single issue or approach. Riley and the leaders of Humanity and Hope believe the Hope itself can be contagious and that is can be best spread by utilizing the innate talents of individuals to make others lives better.
During this conversation, Riley and I dive deep into his life before humanity and hope. We speak about how Riley opened his eyes to realities that he could not fathom before traveling to Honduras. We speak about how his soul changed from being a quote unquote selfish young person who only cared about making money to becoming someone so generous who's life's work is to serve others. Riley says, People can change.
During this episode, we talk about…
Riley’s life before experiencing what life was like in Honduras
The moment when he realized that he could use his skills to make dreams come true.
The challenges he faced when implementing the first projects in Honduras
The mission of Humanity and Hope United and how it has always stayed the same
Why everyone should either Give. Go. or Buy. if you want to begin to make a difference.
And so much more…
